On November 6th an Anacortes police officer on routine patrol saw a southbound van on O Avenue turn right onto 12th Street in front of a SUV that had the right of way, nearly causing a collision around 12:16 a.m. The officer stopped the van and noted the driver showed signs of intoxication. The 40-year-old Seattle man allegedly failed physical sobriety tests, and was arrested and taken to the police station for a breath test.
